We offer two levels of care for your wood floors; Wood floor Cleaning and Wood Floor Rejuvenation. Our Wood Floor Care services allow you to properly maintain, protect and care for your wood floors without the hassle and cost of a full sand and refinish.
Wood Floor Cleaning
Our Intensive Cleaning process utilizes a specialized wood floor cleaning machine designed to clean deeply and thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, hair, dust and built-up contaminants from your wood floors. This process does not remove wax or other oil products.
Our Oil Product Removal process can be utilized for wood floors that have been waxed or covered with any other oil product. Any oil based products must be removed before cleaning or rejuvenating. (Tip: Do not use wax or oil products on your wood floors.) We can test for oil products on your wood floors during your free estimate.
Wood Floor Rejuvenation
Our Rejuvenating Coat will improve the look of your floor while adding another layer of protection, but may not smooth out scratches in the clear coat.
We do not do a sanding and refinishing down to the bare wood; rather it is a deep, thorough cleaning, and then a very thin Rejuvenation Coat of urethane that is about the thickness of a hair.
Our coatings will revitalize the finish of your floor to a uniform sheen that also helps protect your wood floors against damaging UV sun rays. Scratches may still be visible; a complete sanding and refinishing would be needed to fix scratches and other blemishes.
Cleaning and Rejuvenating only affect the clear coat of your wood floor and would not affect any wood blemishes under the clear coat. Some stains above the clear coat may not be removable without a complete sanding and refinishing. We can only provide this service for wood floors that have not been waxed. If you are not sure if you have ever used a wax product on your floor, we can test for it during your free estimate.
Our process is thorough but fairly simple. We start by moving furniture and rugs off of your wood floor. We will then sweep all areas to be cleaned. Cleaning will be done with a specialized wood floor cleaning machine designed to aggressively scrub your wood floor in order to clean deeply and thoroughly. A rinse will be done once cleaning is complete. If we are also coating your wood floor, we will then apply aRejuvenation Coat. Smaller floors can be cleaned and coated in only a couple of hours and start around $300. Larger floors can take up to a day or two and cost upwards of $1,500, which is significantly less than the cost of a full sanding and refinishing. Although it takes around 24 hours for your newly applied coating to cure, you can walk on your wood floor with socks after one hour; you can walk on your floor with shoes after 24 hours. Pets should remain off your wood floor for 24 hours. Furniture can be placed back on your wood floor after 24 hours, but rugs should remain off for at least five days.
